About
Welcome. I am Wendy Brandal, one of Anchor Bay School District's STEM - Technology teachers. I have been an Anchor Bay teacher since 2000. I have taught Technology, Second Grade, Fourth Grade, and Tech/STEM. My mission is to help students take joy in creative problem solving using technology and the engineering design process.
Your child will alternate between Technology and STEM class by quarter; starting with Technology. In Technology class, we guide instruction by utilizing the Macomb Intermediate School District (MISD) course 21 Things for Students. In STEM, students work through the inquiry and design processes as they experience the activities, projects, and engineering problems of their Project Lead the Way PLTW modules.
On a personal note, I am married with an adult son. We enjoy traveling to new and interesting places. We are on a mission to visit all of the National Parks. I love to kayak and snorkel. In my spare time I may be watching a Star Wars, Harry Potter, or a superhero movie. I also like to paint, read, and play board games - especially Scrabble. Daisy and Speedy are our dogs, we have two cats named Tony and Monty, and we also have a bearded dragon named Spike.
